How to Sell more and make more money on e-bay

E-BAY can be your best friend, HOW SO:-e-bay stands for SELL. DON'T THINK OF IT AS WHAT E-BAY WANTS, but what you want out of e-bay. Use every part of e-bay to get the advantage of the dollars you are spending to list your product.

  1. Step 1

    Pick a subject. Do you want to put any and everything on your e-bay site to sell? Or do you want to focus on specific type merchandise?

    Either way, make it say so in your listing. A prospective customer may see one item in your auction, and only think that you do not carry other items. Always mention this fact in your descriptions, so that the person will know you do carry a variety.

  2. Step 2

    USE EVERY CONTACT YOU HAVE EVER MADE, IN SELLING, OR EVEN LISTING AN ITEM THAT DID NOT SELL.

    These are contact points. TAKE ADVANTAGE of every person that contacts you about a question. This could be another chance to make a sale, at another point and time.

    For example, after many art sales to a customer, my creations changed and I tried another form of abstracts. Some customers followed the new work, but others, did not.

    So, I decided to contact older customers, to see if they were still interested in my first style of art work. Many still were interested and I was able to do more commissioned work. ALSO, do not be afraid to ask customers, if they need a style for an up comming gift or presentation that they may need.

    COMMISSION WORK: ASK A CUSTOMER WHAT HE NEEDS. Many customers may not know that you will do commissioned work. For example, I do abstract art. The customer may need certain colors, rather than what I have shown on e-bay.

    PAYMENT IS EASY ON PAYPAL. YOU CAN ACCEPT A PAYMENT FROM ANYONE, OR ANYTHING. SIMPLY INVOICE YOUR SALE TO THEIR E-MAIL ADDRESS. I ALWAYS
    INVOICE AT LEAST 50% OF THE PRICE BEFORE I START. IF A SMALL AMOUNT I WILL INVOICE THE WHOLE AMOUNT AND THEN START PICTURE.

  3. Step 3

    USE ALL THE SOURCES AVALIABLE FROM E-BAY. ONE OF THEM IS THEIR ABOUNT "ABOUT ME" PAGES.

    Fill it out for your site and list everthing about you that might entice a buyer to do more business with you than just one item.

    My site-showplace2 on e-bay gives a variety of information, to get the buyer to e-mail me with questions. These may or not be directed to item for sale, but to some other no related items.

    PICK UP A BUYER ANYWAY AND ANY WHERE YOU CAN. MAKE IT EASY FOR THE PROSPECTIVE TO GET TO YOU!
